One of the most important activities that SIRIUS will develop in 2013 at the national level are the National Round Tables. This events have the objective to create spaces where policy makers, researchers and practitioners of each one of the 16 countries that are part of the network could discuss about the topic of education and migration, and specially about Early School Leaving of migrant students. In order to prepare these events the coordinators of this activity prepared some guidelines and organised a meeting in Brussels to discuss with the national coordinators the organisation of these activities. After each national round table will be published one summarize report that will be available.
The kick-off meeting of National Round Tables took place at the Open Society Institute in Brussels on 1st March 2013. It was the opportunity to prepare another activity of this year, the Thematic Workshops. During the year will take place in three different countries three Thematic Workshops. The aim is to facilitate the discussion between experts on some relevant topics related to education and migration. The final report with the conclusions of these events will be published too.
