The Integration of Third Country National Pupils in Schools in Budapest and Szeged

The report presents the main findings of research conducted by the DARTKE Association adn funded by the EIF in Hungary. The research focused on various aspects of school integration of immigrant children. With a combined methodology of macro-statistical analysis, survey research and qualitative data collection techniques, the researchers explored the situation of immigrant pupils in Hungarian public education and presented a detailed report on their sociological characteristics, enrolment strategies, social networks as well as the teachers’ and other professionals’ role in the complex integartion processes.
