Between April and October 2019, sixteen National and one Regional (Baltic) Round Tables were held as part of SIRIUS’ action at national and regional level. The workshops narrowed down the topical exchange initiated by the National and Regional Round Tables 2018 and contributed to the consolidation of these policy discussion platforms. The round tables brought together policy makers, migrant-led organisations, teachers, school representatives, researchers, parents and student representatives as well as other relevant stakeholders to exchange views on national policy priorities and reform opportunities. The objectives of the round tables are:
- The fostering of networking and cooperation among national policy makers, researchers, practitioners and migrant organisations dealing with migrant education issues.
- The acceleration of processes of mutual learning and exchange of experience on the national and multinational level.
- The creation of strategic and policy documents that provide the basis for future activities, policies and practices.
Through these achievements, SIRIUS is expected to reach substantial progress towards the goal of inclusive education policies that enable equity in education.
