SIRIUS Peer Learning Activity – Day 2

On the second day of the Peer Learning Activity in Ruse, Bulgaria, the participants visited Lyuben Karavelov School – a public school with a strong commitment to educational inclusion.

Under the leadership of an inspiring school director, the school has become a safe and nurturing space for children from Roma backgrounds, Ukrainian refugee families, and students with special educational needs.

Participants were impressed by the school’s whole-school approach, inclusive practices, and creative solutions aimed at reducing educational inequalities and ensuring every child feels welcome and valued.

This visit was another powerful example of how schools can lead the way in building inclusive and equitable education systems across Europe.
